The Mac app actually blocks
Most distraction happens on the computer. During a focus session BigBro covers blocked apps and blocks websites at the system level — it doesn't nag you, it just doesn't open.

macOS doesn't let sandboxed apps block other apps or change system networking. To actually block, it has to be a notarized direct download.

A library/classroom seating layout — take a seat and you're in focus mode. Seeing others focus carries you through what you can't do alone.
The web study room has seats, a shared timer, reactions and break-time chat. It does not block any app or website — for blocking, use the Mac or iPhone app.
FAQ
How does it stop me from quietly removing the limits?+
There's no one-tap removal during a lock; unlocking early emails your supervisor. Even if you uninstall, the server notices the silence and emails them. Social accountability, not a physical lock.
Does my supervisor need the app too?+
No. They just accept the invite by email; every alert after that arrives by email.
Which devices are supported?+
iPhone / iPad lock apps and sites; Mac locks independently and shares state; Apple Watch shows your streak and time left.
Is it free?+
Yes. Free includes basic blocking and study rooms (with ads). Go premium for no ads, hardcore mode and friends rooms.
